    Went to visit my mom and sisters for the day and went fishing before I went home. Got some shrimp, literally 2 and 1/4 pieces from my sister (her being stingy) but ...more they were jumbo shrimp. I can't complain. First time catfishing in awhile. I caught this one lost 2 good ones, it's better than getting skunked.

      @ddhtwn Yeah was about a pound and a half or two. That other I hooked up on was a good 5 I could tell by the way I set the hook to the pole bend.

    Only caught two while I was out there, really didn't go around the both ponds since I didn't have my boots. But one thing I can tell, is that the bass in ...more there are well fed. This picture shows no justice but this fish is right at about a pound or a lil over.

      Ok cool I just hope I was making sense lol, it depends on where I'm fishing too sometimes I change up to snap on swivel to main line and have the weight below ...more that. But I usually use that one @ddhtwn

      I usually use a barrel swivel from my main to tag line and a snap on swivel on the tag line that way I can switch out hooks if I need to @ddhtwn

      Yeah I do usually have 20 lbs test with me, since I fish for multiple species of fish, but I left it at home. I wasn't planning on catching anything huge lol. ...more I mean even if I did I knew I could catch

    Went bass fishing with crankbaits and had absolutely had no luck hook up on one fish with a crankbait and lost it. That's when I went to the lil swimbait and ...more orange grub. Caught 7 the other 3 weren't camera ready lol.

    Out fishing for the first bass of the year but I ended up catching a buffalo, the fish surprised me. I thought I had a huge bass but no. I can tell you one thing ...more for sure these fish can fight for sure. What a great way to bring in the New Year with a hard fight.

      Nice job, but that is a Freshwater Drum (Sheepshead, Gaspergou). Buffalo look almost indentical to carp, and have large, forked tails, and much larger scales
