Bowfishingextreme.com backwaterbowfishing.com both are 79.99 and both are great companies to do business with.

  2. Is this one better than the lasted one @SwampMafia

    1. Swamp Mafia 0
Same as the other reel but with out the quick release and the 1 arrow quiver. Both are great and provide years of abuse. AMS is a great company and great customer ...more service.

I have the AMS retriever pro. No problems so far.
    2. Swamp Mafia 0
They are the same mechanical inner workings. The only difference is the mounting and the one arrow quiver.
    3. Swamp Mafia 0
The Pro has a quick disconnect (one thumb screw) and a one arrow quiver. If your going to remove the reel regularly go with the pro.

I bought this one awhile ago but I really haven't used it

I have some bowfishing pics in my blerts as well as some bowfishing gear pics and my bow with the AMS and extended bottle.
    2. Swamp Mafia 0
They also make an extended bottle(10$) and will hold 100' of the 400# FF line. I have one on my bow and have taken thousands of fish, and even more shots with ...more the FF line.
    3. Swamp Mafia 0
The line that comes with it is ok. Its 200# Dacron but has a tendency to fray with hard use. When you tear up that line get 400# fast flight. Its two times as strong ...more but the same diameter.
    4. Swamp Mafia 0
Oh, sorry about that, you must be referring to the AMS Retriever (Pro). The pro has a quick disconnect, but other than that they are the same.

    7. littleoak5 0
Yes @ SwampMafia and reel_smooth I have a Mathews mission menace just looking for the setup not the bow
    8. Reel_Smooth 0
Do you own a bow already?
    9. Swamp Mafia 0
I'm not sure what bow your talking about. I have seen AMS fire hawk and fire eagles. They also have a browning barracuda. If its one of them they are good bows.
