      10 lb will do fine I definitely would not have 25lb unless it was braid cus you wouldn't be able to fit any line on the spool and it'd be way to thick...

      10 will work for what you want but if you want strength and small diameter get braid. power pro is a good one especially 30lb braid =8 lb test diameter

      10# is plenty if I were you I would put 12-16 pound. Berkley is good line. If you get 25# don't get cheap line it will be to thick to cast!!!!

      The 14lbs mono on mine works amazing and casts great. Just some words of advice to another angler.

      I have that 2 of those same exact reels and I have 14 lbs suffix siege mono on one and 30 lbs power pro braid on the other. You mostly don't want to go below ...more 10 lbs test. Stay at 12 lbs and up.

      Personally you would want to go with a heavier pound test on a bait caster because of it's too thin/ low test the line will dig into the line below it and cause ...more a nasty backlash.
