  4. @bad_bass top is a cotton mouth bottom is a water mocassin, not the same snake moron

    1. Mike Ruff 0
@CroakerSmoker there's so many different species and names for them I'm so done lol I don't even care what they're called anymore after all this ...more lol
    2. Tyler 0
Google black and yellow garter snake and you will see many of these NJ "moccasins"
    3. Sutton Dole 0
There may be different names for them up where you are but according to savannah river officials the two names refer to the same snake
    4. Mike Ruff 0
Like I said everyone, just going based off what the dept of fish game and wildlife sent me and told me. Not looking for a debate on my day off.
    5. JustinGoodman 0
Also tagging someone and calling them a moron is not what this app is about. If someone doesn't know something you just inform them, you don't make them ...more feel bad about it.
    6. fishin_kid2 0
      *Garter snake
    7. fishin_kid2 0
Top is a cotton mouth and bottom is a hater snake
    8. JustinGoodman 0
Cottonmouth/Water Moccasin are 100percent the same snake. Just different names. The top pic is def the snake, the bottom is not. You can identify this snakes by its ...more diamond shaped head and white mouth
    9. Mike Ruff 0
we also have eastern diamond backs in my area too so I wanted to find out more about them. these were the pictures they emailed me
    10. Mike Ruff 0
@sutton_dole yea I dunno I just called the fish game and wildlife department near me cause I've seen these in my yard too
    11. Sutton Dole 0
Yea I've been doing some research myself and they are defiantly the same snake. Just look up the 2 words Agkistrodon piscivorus
    12. Mike Ruff 0
Well the department of fish game and wildlife of NJ says otherwise. I personally hate snakes so I had to do a bit of research to find this out. @sutton_dole @Bandy
    13. Robert Bandy 0
And the bottom isn't a water moccasin
    14. Robert Bandy 0
I'm pretty sure id kill either of it got near me.
    15. Sutton Dole 0
I'm pretty sure they are the same snake. Bottom is most certainly not a moccasin.

    1. bad_bass 0
Lol cotton mouths and water moccasins are the same snake two different names.
    2. Mike Ruff 0
@bad_bass it wasn't a cotton mouth it was a water mocassin, blackish color with brownish diamond pattern on them. they look similar to a ribbon snake. cotton ...more mouth has a head looks like a rattle snake
    3. bad_bass 0
I've done that too! It doesn't look like a cotton mouth though they are really thick and a lot darker
    4. bad_bass 0
You probably wouldn't see a sea snake they're in more tropical places and it's pretty rare to see one @casio200
    5. Mike Ruff 0
@catfishken a small pond that the town calls a lake near my house lol got snapping turtles, mocassins, crappie, carp, bass, cats, sunnies, perch. all in the same ...more little tiny water body lol
    6. Ken 0

    7. Mike Ruff 0
@epicwalrus926 I'm aware of that, might want to familiarize yourself with sarcasm
    8. casio200 0
@GWLake_Angler lol well I guess I'm hanging up my poles now
    9. epicwalrus926 0
Probaly more venomous then cotton mouths (water moccasins)
    10. epicwalrus926 0
@casio200 @GWLake_Angler sea snakes are very dangerous and highly venomous. Also their venom can affect skeletal structures i think
    11. Mike Ruff 0
good point, cause sea snakes are like unicorns huh?
    12. casio200 0
just the reason why I don't fresh water fish
