1. Details: Largemouth Bass

    Today was a rough one, but persistency paid off. This was the only bite I had in, but it's more than I was expecting from a cold and windy day. Tried jigs and ...more lipless cranks with no luck, so I tried the 401, and the result was my first fish, and first real bite, I've had out there in about 12 hours of fishing. I saw a nice fish, looked to be 4-5 pounds, floating. Felt good to break the goose egg.

    Accidentally caught this little guy, my first of the year, while trying to catch a frog. Not the biggest ever, but it broke my goose egg.

  3. Details: Plecostomus

    My first time fishing here and this is all I have to show for it. I fished for a few hours and I only managed to snag this big pleco, my first. As soon as I got ...more there I found one that had part of a condom stuck around its head. I tried Chatterbaits, jigs, plastics, and lipless cranks without a bite. Has anybody had any luck here?

      @CJS21 Sure did.
  4. Details: Spotted (Speckled) Trout with a Mardi Gras Sand Eel, Key Lime Pie Chicken Boy shrimp, and a DOA under a cork. Straight, medium retrieve produced the best. I would ...more pop the DOA every 30-45 seconds; they wanted it just sitting still.

    That's a Sand Eel after 40+ fish. Fish Pond was LOADED Friday and Saturday, but not this morning. We got 15-20 Friday, 60+ Saturday morning, but only 7 this ...more morning. We only caught one keeper each day, but we were ok with quantity over quality. The fish were super aggressive; I've never missed/lost so many fish in one day before. One of the craziest days I've ever had. Grassy drop offs were key.

  5. Details: Sand Trout with a Chicken Boy shrimp and Norton Sand Eels.

    No luck under the light; there was some bait in the water, but no fish. Fished an oil well cut two mornings in a row, but we only managed one sand trout the first ...more morning. There were fish there, but there was so much bait in the water you probably could've walked on it. Tried key lime pie Chicken Boys, Mardi Gras Sand Eels, and bone Devil Eyes.

  6. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Watermelon red/black glitter Monster Miki.

    Caught this one in the same spot, between the moss and weeds, as the last. Released the last one, made a cast, twitched a few times, and almost lost my rod. CRUSHED ...more the Miki, hit like a freight train and didn't stop. It was only about 3-3.5 lbs, but it hit like a 5+. Caught a couple, and missed a few, pulling a green pumpkin fire Keitech Crazy Flapper through the grass.

  7. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Watermelon red/black glitter 6.5 inch Monster Miki

    Cast, first with Monster Miki, between the weeds and moss, and he hit after as soon as I moved it. I really like Miki so far: its big, has tons of movement, super ...more soft, and it seems to be really durable so far.
