1. Pretty new to the world of fly fishing. I was given these flies and was wondering what they're used for and what they're supposed to imitate?

      By trout I mean freshwater trout. Those will work in salt for reds, bonefish, permit, tarpon and maybe black drum

      If I had to bet, they look like patterns for saltwater. The 3 beadhead ones will probably make good crayfish flies for trout and the bottom left would make a good ...more streamer for trout

      I agree with @Pabucks probably crayfish or small bait fish and would be great for small mouth large mouth and big brown trout although if your just starting out ...more I wouldn't fish streamers for trout.
