1. HELP! SOS

    1. TYnsr 0
      Hi
    2. HOOKsettA 0
Up and there goes 10-15 min or weed removing maintenance aha...I hope this helps any! @CarolinaJane tight lines to ya!
    3. HOOKsettA 0
The seaweed will find your line eventually and start to bind up and prevent you from feeling or seeing a fish strike, so you might want to check your bait more often. ...more If not the weed will really pile
    4. HOOKsettA 0
Would suggest that after you cast out keep your line up high and avoid it from sagging down and touching the weeds. When you reel in reel fast to try and break through ...more as much of the weed as you can.
    5. HOOKsettA 0
I agree with @LostBoysOutdoors on this one. You can normally find a spot or 2 where the seaweed hasn't taken over yet, just have to keep a close eye out for ...more it. But, if you have no other choice I
    6. Carolyn Carolyn 0
@LostBoysOutdoors how long does that usually take???
    7. Chris Emmite 0
When the seaweed is bad in the surf there is nothing you can really do. I usually keep driving down the beach until I find a spot that's clear.
    8. Carolyn Carolyn 0
      Wow! Awesome! Great! Thanks πŸ˜ƒ
    9. marc trejo 0
No. Problem good luck. Or if you have a piece of pvc pipe get about a 1 1/2" size with 2 caps. Drill a bunch of holes and use it for shrimp to chum just stick ...more it the water. I will put a pic
    10. Carolyn Carolyn 0
Hm....smart fishin.... I will try that thanks
    11. marc trejo 0
Then draw the fish out of the seaweed. Then fish with live or artifical bait
    12. marc trejo 0
When i see that there is alot of sea weed i fish at the edge of the sea weed. Or get some shrimp chop it up put in an old sock and drop it a couple of feet away ...more from the seaweed. Like a chum bag
    13. marc trejo 0
If you see fish around that area i would fish a lure in a weedless fashion. Dont have the hook exposed, but if theres trash you may not wanna eat thos fish anyway
    14. MIKE D 0
If u check out my blerts i can't figure out how not to get bass lol all i know is freshwater
    15. Carolyn Carolyn 0
@jackdanielsauce I prefer salt over fresh. But I did grow up fishing all freshwater. Grandpaw's pond was awesome! Lol but I can't really figure out how to ...more get the bass....
    16. MIKE D 0

    17. Carolyn Carolyn 0

    18. MIKE D 0

    1. lance Tanskanen 0
      Smoked catfish is good
    2. csanderson 0
My rule of thumb is any from 1 to 5 lbs. are the best, any bigger and they start tasting muddy. That's also dependent on the habitat your fishing.
    3. Carolyn Carolyn 0
      Cool!!!
    4. christian christian 0
@CarolinaJane that is the same as a bullhead although I've heard that the bullhead is delicious in Minnesota they have a festival and everything where all they ...more eat is bullheads
    5. Carolyn Carolyn 0
Wow! Thnx everybody πŸ˜ƒ so pretty much anything but bullhead. Also a kid told me that mud cats are a no go. Is that the same as a bull?
    6. ParkerMansel 0
Any but the smaller the better cuz they are less fatty
    7. Swamp Mafia 0
Flathead, channel, blue, pass on the bullheads, or use them for bait. Release the fish over 10lbs, they get tough and are the breading stock. 3-8 pound fish are ...more best IMO.
    8. nathan wunderlich 0
      Channel for me as well
    9. Nolan Yeager 0
This is the order from best to worst flathead channel blue bullhead
    10. dallin dallin 0
Channel catfish are my favorite, little to no fishy taste.
    11. Gabe Mitchell 0
I eat them all except bullheads. Flatheads are my favorite

Caught it using catfish dough while fishing on bottom for channel cat. Same rod n reel as always! Abu Garcia combo $50 one from Walmart. 12lb line. Hooked it twice ...more first time broke my line. FUN!

    1. Ben_Sanford 0
Bony fish like Buffalo and Black Drum are best baked. Fry fish and the meat tends to adhere to bones. Bake and bones release meat. Leave skin & scales. Remove ...more gills & guts. Wash. Wrap with foil. Bake
    2. Carolyn Carolyn 0
Yeah they have weird bones all thru them. A grinder huh? Hmmm...thnx for info :-)
    3. txlonestar06 0
Idk about the eggs, but I've seen some people put the fish through a grinder and make patties out of em. I don't mind catching them, but I throw them back ...more in.
    4. Carolyn Carolyn 0

    6. grizzlyman 0

    7. Carolyn Carolyn 0
      Lol yeah I did! I live fish and I'm a good cook....but I can't make good fish...go figure! Hahaha
    8. grizzlyman 0
Ok just wondering.. I hear ppl talking about all kinds of ways to cook them, but I never had the opportunity to go so! Fry them they say!!! Lol
    9. Carolyn Carolyn 0

    10. Carolyn Carolyn 0
