  6. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Rapala Clackin' Rap

Biggest of four fish yesterday, and one of my first fish from a yak . Took the bait as soon as the bait hit the water.

@osiis It's not too bad. During the summer months you get the typical lake lice. Once it gets cooler though, its decent place to fish.

  7. Just picked up a pair of Mantaray 12s for me and my GF. First kayaks for both of us so we are taking a few days to practice Self Rescue Techniques. Then off to fish ...more we go! Any tips on gear?

I went cheep on the anchor trolly and used D rings and an anchor cleat system works just the same an allows me to take it off when loading.
    2. Abel2FISH 0
The anchor system is on the way as well.

Way ahead of you on the crate and rod holders. I found the milk crates a little small so I ended up building this http://palmettokayakfishing.blogspot.com/2011/09/ultimate-diy-kayak-crate.html?m=1

Get some rod holders and an anchor. I made a gear holder with a plastic milk crate and cut PVC at an angle to make rod holders.
