1. Started fishing at 530 am in the dark with blue/white buzzbait. Caught 3 nice bass over 4 lbs, then the bite slowed to a crawl. At around 715a.m. I decided to pack ...more up my gear and head to the house. Then, like always, i threw one last cast into a log jam in about 3 feet of water. I gave my plastic craw worm a few twitches, then I thought I had snagged a tree limb underwater. So I jerk my rod to try to free the hook, and that's when I knew I had something very big on the hook. When she jumped out of the water, I nearly fainted. It was the biggest bass I'd ever seen in all my 25+ years of fishing! I fought it for at least 5 mins and almost lost the fish twice. I had no net, so I had to lay face first in the mud to land it. It was 26" and weighed 11lb 3oz!!!! I thought about keeping it to have it mounted, but I let her go so maybe someone else can get lucky and catch her some day.

Thank you Capt. Morris! It took me 25 years to catch one like that. Hopefully it doesn't take 25 more to get the next one. The fact that it came from a body ...more of water that's less than 100ft from my front door, made it even more amazing. Before this fish, I had never seen a fish over 6lbs come from this body of water. Just goes to show that the big ones are in there, they're just a hell of alot harder to fool.

I have a family and own a business. I don't own or want to own a bass boat. I don't brag. I state facts. my arm is held up, not out in all my pics because ...more I don't need to make any fish larger than it is. and as far as weight goes, my scale doesn't lie. Have fun showing ur family how to catch piggy perch and other undesirable trash fish. And thank you for catching the tiny bass and leaving the lunkers for me to catch & release. I appreciate it greatly! you're the greatest!!

There's an old saying that i've found to be true 100% of the time. The saying goes like this: 10% of the fisherman catch 90% of the fish. The other 90% of ...more the fisherman catch 10% of the fish. Sounds like you're in that 90th percentile. lol
    5. Chris Dixie 0
      Lol ohhhh k
    6. Ryan Meadows 0
chris dixie, small fish rarely ever bite the lures i use. Huge trophy sized bass feed on different things than the smaller fish. They also dont feed at what is considered ...more "normal" times
    7. Chris Dixie 0
Lol I don't think any body fish for small fish kinda just happens unless u have the power to not let fish under 3 bit your lure
