Fished from shore at New Hogan last Sunday (09/16/18) during Midday. Bait fish are moving and larger fish were on the chase. I had hits on a jitterbug frog pattern ...more with a 4 inch black/green tail worm attached. Did not land any from shore and saw many 6 inch Large mouth Bass follow my other lures. Water is clear, warm, and lower than other lakes in the area.

Dad caught two bass trolling deep diving crank baits (Bass pattern) late afternoon. Saw a lot of fish deep (150 ft) near the dam around some sort of structure.

Last Saturday (7/7/18) I spent about 5 hours at New Hogan shore fishing only to get skunked. The Strippers were boiling every where but out of reach. The fishermen ...more in Kayaks would hurry over to the boils with little success. The day was clear and hot with Temps above 100.
That same evening, I drove to the Delta for night fishing and that was a bust with only couple good hits. Used Worms and Anchovies that night. -
Caught 4 trout on Fathers Day. Lot of hits and lost two off the line.

One of my favorite ...more places to fish. Can't believe how many homes are in the area now! Used to be a single lane dirt road with forest all around. Planning to come up and try the little truckee towards Sierraville, and maybe Cold Creek. I stopped fishing those some years ago but now I have some time since I retired! Thanks again for the info. Don't know if you have ever seen it, but there is a 'flyover' of Prosser on YouTube. Kind of neat. Norm

Tim Gulliford 0I noticed on my second trip to Prosser two weeks apart, the bite changed. Yes, had hits on lures but early morning and evening the trout were hitting the surface ...more bugs. I recommend a fly during those times. Near the mouth of the creek, you can see the fish including Small Mouth Bass just they all did not care to bite except one!
