thanks for the advice... I'm heading back to the lake in the morning and will give the jerk bait a whirl.

I used to live 1 mile from Cedar, if i were you I would be throwing nothing but suspending jerk baits, buy those stick on lead stickers and set them up so they do ...more not sink or float up at all, I used to fill up the bathtub with water set to the temp of whatever the lake is so i know the lure wont float or sink, it is killer when water is 50-60 degress, you should be catching 10-30 bass easily that way

About

I started out fishing as a young kid with my grandpa who would take me out to a local farm pond stocked with some really nice crappie. Then when ...more I was about 5 years old my grand parents bought a place down on the Ohio River Smithland Pool in Elizabethtown, Illinois. For the next 25 years my Summers and weekends where filled with some very precious memories that I will never forget! My Grandpa died from Mesothelioma 9 years ago and I hadn't picked up a pole or fished since he passed until about two years ago when my then 6 year old daughter asked me to take her fishing! Well let's just say I started getting the itch again and now I'm getting the share the same experiences and memories with my daughter that I was blessed with being able to experience with my Grandpa! In addition to fishing tournaments now and being on the water ever free moment i have I know someone is smiling down on us from above!
