1. Details: Sheepshead

One trout in 5 foot while drifting. Finally hit the south shore line and hammered the flounder and sheepshead. Two guys, two limits back to back days. First time ...more ever fishing the south shore of east matty. Wish we could have learned where those big winter trout were hanging out though.

  2. This was last month's trip to port oconnor. We have learned that area well. I have a place in sargent, boat and rv sitting there waiting. Last time I went out ...more to east bay, we were hard pressed to find our way around the bay without running ground or dragging the prop. Anyone got any suggestions on locations or techniques to fishing east bay. Just need a small nudge to at least start learning.

  3. Details: Red (redfish) Drum

Now just let me tell you about this s.o.b. : After reeling in 3 empty 20/0 hooks, I landed a pair of 16" mullet and kayaked them out. An hour later, I noticed ...more the line on my daiwa 910 go slack. After a tiring effort to reel in my rig, I ended up kayaking the rod passed the breakers to free the line. Once I returned to the beach, I drug in this 48" bull red. Man I wish it was a shark.

Thanks man. That one was a chore. I should have know better when I saw remnants of the lost few blocks of sargent a few hundred yards out in the surf. I will fish ...more a different section next time.

Yeah, it is starting to clean up. My place is on heron at the Downey candy creek. Can't say much for it yet. Still a bit dirty.
