Caught and released this nice bass this past Monday. Lake level was up 4' in about a week following all the rain. Was fishing for crappie, but only managed ...more to catch a few. This bass was a nice surprise. Fun to catch on an ultralight rig!

Took my daughter and granddaughter fishing this morn. Because of this pic we now call her flounder face. I didn't get to fish much, but had fun being the deck ...more hand. They caught a variety if fish including a Jackfish, hardheads, croaker, sandtrout, and a whiting that my granddaughter is holding in the pic. Had a great time. Fished the incoming tide.

Had a great morning off, fishing with my kids! All were caught by 8am. After that, the fishing just shut down. So we headed out to find some breakfast tacos. Take ...more your kids fishing when they are young, and they will take you fishing with them when they get older, and maybe out-fish you! I taught them too well!

Fished in the Laporte area this morn with my daughter. We caught about 10 rat reds on live shrimp, plus a few small flounder. The only keeper of the day was this ...more 17" flounder I got on a Flounder Pounder. At least I get to eat tonight! Fun morning on the water!
