    The GF got her first bass of the season today! Steady retrieve along the bank and both fish crushed the lure and she fought them in after good fights. Left side ...more was biggest in the 3.5-4lb range on the scale and right side was about 3lb on the scale! I caught 3 others but none the size of hers today.

    Details: Largemouth Bass

    I never have any luck with plastics but I decided to give it a shot again after nothing was hitting top water. Hooked up a sweet beaver and they started smashing ...more it! Caught a total of 4 all around 1.5-2lbs and missed a 5th. Hopefully my luck has changed with the soft plastics now.

    Tried out a new spot, pretty big lake with not many spots to cast from the shore. Casted out into the middle and slowly retrieved back towards the shore. After about ...more 4 or 5 revolutions he hit it. Decent size, didn't weigh it but put up a nice fight! This lure has been a killer for me so far this year.

    Details: Largemouth Bass with a Rebel popper

    Biggest of 3 on the day. 3-3.5lbs on the scale. Other two were around 2-2.5lbs. Fishing underneath a bridge that crosses the lake. A guy came by with a leaf blower ...more and cleared off the top of the bridge causing all the pollen, leaves, and other stuff to fall into the lake. I casted the popper right into everything that fell in and the bass smacked it immediately!

    About 77 degrees, cloudy, and a light drizzle. There is a big storm moving in. Casted in some shallow water by a bush hanging over the water. After a few pops I ...more felt the lure go under. He didn't smash it more like just gently took it. Pulled him in after a good fight. 5lbs on the scale and a new personal best!
