  3. Details: Thresher Shark with a 100 pound wire

nothing's gonna bite through this 100% steel 100 pound wire. going for tuna , stripers , blues , and thresher ,bull and mako sharks too

    1. fishintheeast 0
Its very possible to catch threshers up to 200lbs on 100lb wire. And 90lb mono is light but it will work. Do what you want just trying to suggest something for big ...more fish that always works. @chunkerhunker
    2. j_reyes 0
ok ok he obviously doesn't know what he's doing he's using 90 lb mono behind it I usually put 300 lb mono behind the wire @Hooksetter97
    3. chunkerhunker 0
I put a triple sleeve on it when I'm done @Hooksetter97
    4. david weiss 0
      Twist

    7. chunkerhunker 0
7 feet of a 100 pound steel and 90 pound mono behind it. I know what I'm doing I do this all the time
    8. david weiss 0
We use around 25-30 foot of leader for big sharks. Your leader should always be 2 times the size of the fish your trying to catch
    9. chunkerhunker 0
      @Hooksetter97
    10. chunkerhunker 0
yes there is ? I put 7 feet of leader on
    11. david weiss 0
      Way**
    12. david weiss 0
      There no qay
    13. chunkerhunker 0
      7 feet @Hooksetter97
    14. david weiss 0
      How long is your leader?
    15. chunkerhunker 0
caught 3 140-180 pound thresher sharks on the same wire. it's as thick as 85 pound mono. @Hooksetter97
    16. david weiss 0
Oh hell yeah those sharks will bite through that, thats weak steel
    17. chunkerhunker 0
it's. a little Late for that I'm going today , besides I just tested it
    18. fishintheeast 0
That will unravel itself very quickly. Look up haywire twist and use that.
