      we ysed bait caster reals. While in a boat going a little faster than a trolling motor and while your going let the line out until it hits the bottom. then pull ...more up hard and let down slow. repeat until

      What we've done is tie 2 16 oz weights at the bottom of the line (Cortland line) then you tie 3 large barbless treble hooks about a foot apart from each other ...more and from the weight up the line.

      @IowaAnglers. I've only tried snagging I'm not sure if there are other ways to catch them without snagging. but I've gone twice in the past year and ...more had success on both trips.

    wife's first Spoonbill. caught on 80 lbs Cortland line, 3 #6 trebles 1 foot apart from each other and 2 16 oz weights. 70 degree day

      Very nice! I have property down there at Forbes-Lake of the Ozarks. There is a lot of them spoonbills on the smaller (28 acres) lakes I fish. I may have to try ...more catching one.
