You see the fish @craigmoorejr is holding in his pic? That's a Brown Trout. 😉 A Cutthroat has an orange or reddish "cut" below its jaw and extending ...more to its gills. Easiest way to tell
    2. David David 0
So red cheeks and red down the side it's a cutthroat? Are these ok to eat same as rainbows ?
    3. David David 0
I looked online and I think it is a cutthroat trout . It's ok I never got one of these either so still a first 🎣👍
    4. David David 0
I think it is a cutthroat I looked online and it looks like one
    5. craigmoorejr 0

    8. David David 0
Dammit I didn't even know what was a cutthroat but rainbow this looks extremely brown to be a rainbow or do rainbows get brown in color?
    9. Chuck LaBruna 0
Aww man, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But that is not a Brown Trout bud. Looks more like a Cutthroat or Rainbow. But it certainly isn't a Brown. Keep ...more at it, you'll get one!

Anytime you see a darker colored trout with the green and pink colored circles it's usually a Brookie. But the browns are alot lighter colored
    2. Chuck LaBruna 0
A brown trout is mostly, well, brown LOL. It has black and red spots, and a squarish tail fin. Just go on Google Images and search Brown Trout. You'll see what ...more I mean. Nice Brookie by the way!
    3. David David 0
A brook trout ? Thanks for letting me know👍 can u tell me how can I tell the differences between trouts? I usually get rainbows but I got this one today and thought ...more it was a brown trout

and clip your slinky weight to the barrel swivel sliding on your line. Good luck!
    2. kenny kenny 0
I use a similar setup for salmon fishing roe. Slide a barrel swivel up your mainline, then a small bead (to protect your knot), then tie on another barrel swivel, ...more tie your leader to the other end
    3. kenny kenny 0
Try stepping up to 6 or 8 lb flouro mainline with a 4lb leader. I would ditch the egg weights and go with slinky weights. Go light as possible. If theres big current ...more youll have to step up your weight
    4. mmart35 0
Are targeting. And that bout wraps it up for how to fish. Figure all that out on your own and you'll figure out how to keep your line from snagging
    5. mmart35 0
Relative to h2o temp). Does tide effect your fishing location? How fast is the current( fast/slow/none)? You will also need to take note of water clarity and moon ...more phase. Then finally what species you.
    6. David David 0
The dept is about 8 feet I would say
    7. David David 0
I have a medium light rod with 4 lb test mono I use a slip sinker rig. the water is crystal clear with a very rock botte
    8. mmart35 0
What's your rod& reel set up? Can you identify what kind of bottom you're fishing above? Is it thick cover (Lots of branches grass or underwater obstructions). ...more What depth are fishing ( which is also..
    9. mmart35 0
Power pro 60lb test. You pop that go fish somewhere else
