I rigged up the rod and jumped in the water. 3rd cast in, BAM, FISH ON!!! Fish was zipping up and downstream like a bat out of hell! Finally landed her with the help of a good buddy! Fish measured 26 inches, weight unknown! What a fight on the ultra lite fly rod in the raging fast water! Too easy!!! LOL!!! TIGHT LINEZ ALL!!!🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻😎😎😎😎😎

    Haven’t been fishing much prior to this trip!!! Life is busy and it’s all good! Here’s 35 lbs. of King Salmon caught this weekend on our annual trip upstate NY! ...more So many fish caught on day 3 it was ridiculous! We had a huge pod of fish all to ourselves! Unreal!!! TIGHT LINEZ ALL!!!

    I don’t do a ton of saltwater fishing these days. When I do, I jig! When I jig, I catch fish! Lol!!! It’s that simple. August/ September is the best time of year ...more for Fluke. Today was great, catch free bait at the marina with 1 throw of the castnet. Put the bait on a jighead, jig the bait, then “WHAMMO”, get the net, get the net!!! That was the story all morning at the Rattlesnake. The afternoon bite sucked however. TIGHT LINEZ!!!

    P. S. The rest of the fish were already filleted by the time I came up after cleaning the boat. These were the only 2 fish left I could get for a pic. That kid is fast with the knife.........sheeeeesh!!!!!🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

    HYBRID Tournament, Team Topaz finishes 3rd!!!!!

    You can’t win em’ all! We fished from 6AM-8PM without stopping! It was a slow pick! We got our fish but just ...more couldn’t find that kicker fish to put the icing on the cake! It happens! This could’ve ended differently if there wasn’t so much shared information on the water. We were in first most of the day but got knocked into 3rd place by a father daughter team, I’m proud of them as they fished all day the same amount of time we did! They got us by .02 ounces! That little girl has heart man, I’m amazed!!! The first place dude, ahhhhhhh, I don’t know him for shit! But he got us by .40 ounces. Grrrrrrrrr, LOL!!! We needed a 6.3 ounce fish to win but the fish kept getting smaller as the day went on. Total fish caught between myself and Cap’n Mikey Topaz, about 30 fish between 3.5-6.30 lbs. We’ll beat his ass next year like we beat his ass last year!!! Oh, we’ll be back, that’s for sure! LOL!!! TIGHT LINEZ! “THIS, IS STILL WHAT WE DO!!!”

    P.S. We’re not too happy with this 3rd place finish at all! See you on th grounds next year!!! Hehehehehehe!!!!
