    A by catch while Salmon fishing. This was at 10pm at night. A dream come true... I rarely slept but fished till I couldn't cast anymore. The runs of Salmon would ...more come through and I would catch them on nearly every few casts... if you've never gone to Alaska do it. I have spent my life fishing. California has Steelhead and Salmon with the average fisherman catching a Steelhead then with 40 hours of fishing time....ahh then there are the 10% of anglers who catch 90% of the fish.... I thank God for landing somehow into that 10%... good luck my angling friends... may your rods stay bent... umm while fishing anyway ;-)

I grew up in Sonoma County, Ca fishing every stream, lake, River and Ocean fishing from Bodega Bay North. The Russian River was within 10 minutes ...more of my home. While the Eel Rivers were my favorite for large Salmon and Steelhead. The Coastal Streams were thick with fish also. The lakes, Rivers and Streams always had fish in them and back then few fishermen. My other love was the high Sierras I top lined in the late fall early winter and spring. Fishing large Rapalas up to size 18 for some huge trout. I was hired as a guide at the age of 19 and have spent my life teaching others the "feel".... And "pictures help prove the past wasn't all a dream."
