I caught my first crappie on Wednesday with my son and my boyfriend. We didn't have a scale but they both say it was a "monster" and by far the biggest ...more crappie they had ever seen. Also that it was a beautiful fish, not all beat up, like he had never been caught before. They guessed him to be around maybe 2-2 1/2 pounds or so. My son took a picture of his hand next to him. (My son's almost 24 so adult male hand in the picture.)

Well, I have always liked fishing but never had a clue what I was doing at all really. Here lately my almost 24 year old son has been taking ...more my man and me out fishing with him. I have more of an interest in bass fishing, at least so far. Most of his friends are not so much into bass fishing as they are other types. So, he said if I can actually learn a bit more so I have some clue of what I am doing when we go out then I can be his new bass fishing buddy. Super stoked! So I am on a mission to learn as much as I possibly can in a short time (and, of course, will continue to learn from here on out as well), get the lures and all that I need on an extremely low budget, and get out there and catch me some huge ass bass with my boy.
