    Planning a fishing trip to Galveston. It will be out first time going there. We have no preference on fish but would love some Red drum and Trout.. Would really ...more appreciate some good spots since we'll be doing surf fishing. Thanks in Advance.

      san luis pass on the bay side wade out to cuts . get to bridge drive to 1st rd turn right . or fish off seawolf park by submarine

      Kayak would be best, but always pay attention to the current. You can be sucked under or out. I If out, swim with current until you can swim to beach.

      If you go to San Luis Pass I recommend not wading anywhere near the pass. There are holes and drop-offs created by the current that you can fall into and get drenched ...more at best or swept into the current at worse. If you are going to wade down there wear a personal floatation device.

      If you're going surf fishing in west bay I'd go to San Luis Pass. Just be careful around the bridge if you wade out. Very dangerous currents around that ...more bridge.
