1. Details: Black Drum

went to pins before daybreak to catch some trout, but they didn't like my topwaters so I put fish bites on my bass rod and fished the first gut. It took a very ...more long time to turn a 40 pound fish with my bass setup. Fish measure 44 in total length and 26 in girth.

  2. Details: Largemouth Bass

25 bass in 3 hours. Fish actively feeding on dragonflies. Fished the grass in my kayak using a weightless Texas rigged lizard. All caught in a resavoir in Leander ...more Texas. Fished from 8 to 11. used bait sinking and on slow retrieve on top. hope this helps somebody and tight lines.

  3. Details: Spotted (Speckled) Trout

I just bought the tatula type r, but now I need a rod. I would like a rod for specks/largemouth that can handle a slot redfish. I would mostly use this rod for paddletails ...more and topwaters. My price range is from $80 to $120. Can I get some help, it would be much appreciated!

I have been looking for a baitcaster to use for bass and specks, just wanted to know what you guys thought of the citica or if you could suggest a better saltwater ...more baitcaster for $100-120

    1. TexasAngler89 0
Tatula type r def the reg tatulas are not saltwater reels
    2. Aaron Richter 0
I think I am just going to spend the extra money and get the type r tatula@dylangtrue7
    3. dylangtrue7 0
the tatula is a much better reel for saltwater fishing cause of its size and the new cast design
    4. texasfishingkid kid 0
      no problem

      thank you! @dylangtrue7 @nextgeneration @geoffreypolefko @fishallday @ethan_aaron12

    7. ethan_aaron12 0
Had no problems with them they are smooth as all get out and cast a mile they have 10 bearings and a 160 yard capacity of 10 lbs mono imo they are fantastic reels ...more I have used a lot of different reels
    8. ethan_aaron12 0
If you are looking for a great reel at 100$ than get an Okuma Citrix they are the best reels under 100$ I have 2 and I am getting another one I fish the salt about ...more 150 days out of the year and have
    9. texasfishingkid kid 0
my friend gas one that he bought used. it was pretty good except that the reel kept getting stuck and it would cast far
    10. Geoffrey Polefko 0
a buddy of mine has owned a citica for years now and dunked it saltwater a bunch of times and it's still smoother than most brand new reels

  6. Details: Largemouth Bass with a worm, couldn't use lure because of where the bass was. bounced a worm in front of her mouth for 10 mins, then she took

this was caught at brushy creek at about 5 pm, the bass was making a bed about 5 ft away from where me and my friend were fishing on the bank. bounced the worm on ...more its head for about 10 minutes before it got pissed off enough. Its warming up and there were a bunch of fish spawning, its that time of year again!

  7. Details: Black Drum with a peeled shrimp on the bottom

anchored up on the channel on the oso bay side of the A&M corpus Christi bridge. Threw into the channel and the current was really pushing. Just waited until ...more the outgoing tide brought the drum to me. caught this fish at about 11 am on Feb.1 when it really started to warm up. Definetly helps to have a kayak in that spot if your not wading, it gets really crowded around the bridge.

  8. Details: Black Drum

went 40 miles down the intercoastal near the land cut, casting into a channel that runs onto a flat. This was on January 31

It is a real fight on the 4 pound test, especially when you have to pull the bass up at 10 ft fall by handlining. @robz713
    2. robz713 0
