1. I haven't been on Harris Lake in a few years and wow was I shocked to see all the shallow vegetation gone from the area past the New New Hill Holleman Rd bridge. ...more Was hoping for some great top water action but had to change tactics. We fished the right side bank instead and I managed to pull this good fish out of some tree cover. It's a shame to see all the grass and pads gone from what was a great top water spot.

  2. My personal best on Harris Lake. I stuck around after the light rain this evening and it paid off... big time. I always guess at the weight since I don't mess ...more around with scales but I am guessing she is a 5 pounder.

  5. I don't see many catches posted around the Buckhorn Creek area. Does anyone know if this is a good spot? I have been struggling to find fish lately and looking ...more for some new spots. I was doing well in the weedlines past the bridge (where most people have posted catches). But, the last couple of trips I have come up empty in that area.

I fished this section of the lake, for the first time, yesterday morning. The creek mouth wasn't producing any bites but the structure around the channel looks ...more like it would be holding fish. I did manage to get a 3-4 pounder in the shoreline weeds on a frog but that's the only bite I had all morning.

I just stumbled upon where Cass Holt rd crosses Buckhorn Creek myself. I got skunked today for the hour or so I was out there but I regularly see some big cats, ...more and saw a couple of big carp today. This weekend I caught a couple LMB in the 3-4 lb range. Not huge I know, but I just got into fishing a few months ago so the 4 lbs is my current best for bass... I imagine someone that actually knows what they're doing could do better there. I've seen others pull up several decent bass, plenty of bream, and some cats.
