Flipping and pitching every dock and lay down I could.
Flipping bite was pretty consistent all day, managed to wrestle out a few goods ones
4-1-17 WEEKLY LAKE ANNA REPORT: Overall the fish didn't get lock jaw to bad, after the cold front and rain this week. When we launched (Sturgeon Creek Marina) ...more the air temp was hovering 50 degrees and the water temperature was between 54-57 depending on where you are at. The early morning bite was tough, because of the cold air temps falling water temperatures at nice the bass were not very active. However, once the sun got up and the water temperature started to climb again, the bass began to stir. I was not able to catch and fish shallow so we backed off just a little bit and started fishing that 12-20ft range. All of our fish were caught with slow retrieves, just dragging the bottom with a Carolina Rig or Drop Shot. Most of our fish were caught off main lake points with the exception of a few smaller fish that came off the bridge on the main lake. Hope you guys have a great week and don't forget to follow us on Instagram: @n1outdoorsnbassador
Good evening everyone! Once again I apologize for not being able to get a report out this week, like I said before I am in the process of buying a brand new boat(!!!) ...more and I won't be able to get back on the water for another week or so. However I hope you guys are catching them and as soon as I can I'll start my weekly reports back up! Good luck!
Yesterday(1-13-17)was are first day on the water at Lake Anna, we were really excited to get on the water but it was a fairly slow day. The air temperature was in ...more the 50's and water temperature was low 40's so my first impression was that it would be a very productive day. I started out using my electronics and cruising the main lake points that the channel ran up against trying to find the schools of bait fish. I was able to find three or four points that had the baitfish on them but was very tough to get a bite. I threw the Alabama Rig, deep suspending jerkbait, silver buddy, and a jig. I caught two largemouth in the pound to pound and half range, not very good but it was a start. I caught both on a green pumpkin jig with a rage tail craw (green pumpkin with a little red flake). The fish were very particular on the presentation of the jig, if the jig came off the bottom any at all it was game over. I just simply dragged it across the bottom just an inch or two at a time and if I came in contact with anything on the bottom I would pull it over it ( rock or stump) and just let it sit for ten seconds or so. I will be fishing again within the next couple days and hopefully will be able to put more in the boat then what I did yesterday so I can give you guys a little better information. Till next time good luck on the water! Instagram: @n1outdoorsnbassador

After the early morning shallow water bite disappears we caught several fish on the points off brush piles in about 10-15 foot of water
