      good fish
  2. Bass fishing has come to a screeching halt recently at Chaparral. Water is warming and vegetation is growing rapidly. Reaction baits that were killing it pre-spawn ...more have stopped yielding results. Limited success with finesse presentation at dawn and dusk. Western bank is full of monster carp (and nobody is fishing this side). Majority of carp/cat anglers are concentrated near southeast bank near boat ramp. If you are looking for a big carp fight give the western to southwestern bank a try. Fish are tight to bank in shallow water, so tread lightly as they spook easily. Recommendation would be to pitch to target area laterally from 10-15 feet above or below target.

  3. Pre-spawn night bite, shallow running crank baits around rockpiles off of main channel point.

3 lb. 6 oz. Largemouth Bass with a Shallow Shad Rap

About

A Northern-Midwestern raised guy now living in Scottsdale, AZ. Love Canadian Musky and Walleye fishing. Spent summers in my youth perfecting ...more my bass game on Table Rock Lake and Bull Shoals in Southern Missouri. Personal best is a 48' Musky...still chasing that 50'. Now trying to figure out Arizona fishing in my spare time.
