Some mutton love in the Florida Keys
Welcome to the Florida Keys!
Summer is in full swing and the fishing is on fire. We have Mahi offshore and in the reef with a mix of yellowtail, snapper and grouper ...more about a 15 minute ride from our dock.
If you are looking for a unique adventure, try catching your own lobsters! Our lobsters here in the Florida Keys do not have claws. They are called spiny or caribbean Lobster.
A typical outing is a short trip to the gulf side and we all jump in and hunt for the delicious crustaceans in approximately 5-9 ft. of water.
The captain will point out where the lobsters are, tickle them out of the rock and have you scoop them into your net. Wahla! You just caught your dinner.
If this trip is too adventurous for your liking, opt for a relaxing day at our beautiful sandbar. White sand beaches, island exploring, turquoise clear waters. This is a very popular trip for couples and families.
Come relax and leave your worries in the mainland!
Sometimes you just have an all around perfect day. I call that a skittles day. Where everything just falls into place. The fish show up, great people show up and ...more everything flows. My friend Honson came down to the Keys and we were able to get out fishing with him and his friends which happen to be great people as well. Cindy and Sam rocked the flyfishing and Cindy mutton she fought hard for. Hooked up Mahi on fly, bent the rod for some mutton, cooked up some killer fresh seafood. That’s what it’s all about. Fun, fishing and food. If you get down south to the Keys, give us a call. Always a great time with Boneafide! Photo credits Sam Root. Book your trip with Boneafide Fishing Charters Fl Keys
