1. Details: Dam and Boat Launch

Catfish and Striper are hitting chicken liver and anchovies respectively. Reports of 15+ fish days so far this weekend. Look for the Striped bass fishing to get ...more crazy once the trout plants occur.

  2. Silverwood; weather cooling, bite warming. I stopped by to get an update on the algae problem I encountered last time out. It looks like it is about 90% taken care ...more of. The lake is starting to rise again. I heard a couple of reports from some boat fishermen they were hammering 15 fish by noon. No trout plant yet but the catfish and striped bass are hitting anchovies and chicken liver. Some catfish are being pulled out around the 6 lbs range and some striped bass around 4 lbs. Expect the big stripers to come out and play at the first trout plant. Throw some swim baits around the boat launch and docs and you might just pull in a 15+ pounder.

  3. The water is super low, but the channels are still good. I walked the channels with a Krocodile spoon and hit Browns and Red Band Rainbow. All sizeable.

End of dirt road NF-120, the channels.

About

Born in Oregon, raised in Colorado. I have fished most of the Western states. I fish many styles to include fly-fishing, baitcast, and spin rods. ...more I prefer sport fishing but will keep the occasional catch. I prefer cool water fishing trout species, but do have fun pulling in bass of various species. I typically fish lures and flies, but if the bite isn't on I won't shy away from throwing baits.
