    Caught this nice bass after finding a fairly steep drop-off. I was sitting in 14ft of water casting into 5ft. I was dragging a Carolina rigged Zoom Magnum Finesse ...more worm(solid black). I knew it was a good fish as soon as I set the hook.

      That's a monster. For some reason it seems like the east side of the state don't have many monsters like that. If they do I haven't caught one or even ...more heard of anyone round my area (Washington Parish) catching one

I enjoy catching bass using any technique that is producing fish. Flipping and pitching a jig or creature bait is my favorite way to fish. I ...more also enjoy throwing a Carolina Rig to offshore structure such as long points, humps and drop-offs. I fish at night quite a bit during the summer months to avoid the Louisiana heat and other anglers, boaters and jet skiers. Slow rolling a big black spinnerbait is my go to tactic after the sun goes down. Deep diving crank baits are my least favorite lures to fish. Im pretty week in that area so I try to make myself do it when conditions are right to increase my arsenal of techniques. I practice catch and release exclusively with a 9.8lb largemouth being my biggest catch. I also enjoy the competition of tournament fishing although I rarely win. Im usually happy as long as I put up decent numbers. There is nothing more satisfying to me than putting a pattern together and beating the fish. Speaking of which, its about that time.
