    Will be on Kentucky with my son from July 14 thru the 17 for the High School National Championship. We are from Baton Rouge Louisiana and looking foward to coming ...more up there and doing some diferent fishing than we are used to. At that time of year will there be any matted grass on the lake anywhere?

      Not sure if you will have much grass to fish yet, but as another stated. .. Bring some gear to fish deep ledges (deep divers, 12" trig worms, Carolina rigs, ...more shakey heads). We caught fish in 28' of water this past weekend.

      Hopefully by then there will be some grass topped out here and there. Grass is running way behind this year due to weather. Bring a crankbait rod or two and throw ...more some big plugs out on the ledges. 5XD and 6XD's have produces a lot so far.

      Yes by then the south part of the lake will be matted. The grass down there is growing about 2 feet off the bottom and coming on quickly.
