I went to this spot on the advise of a local friend- DO NOT GO IN CAR- I was very luck not to get stuck in the sand- no dock found- no boat area? sign at entry way ...more from route 1 was laying on the ground. much of the area is marked no public access. will be going back with friend (in a truck) to explore area more.

Went to this spot Saturday and Sunday (5/3 and 5/4/2014) and found it to be a great place to be for the day- good parking- nice dock with 3 covered areas- toilet ...more facility- shady area with tables- and several locals to give you the scoop on the area. Good for me as it is only a few miles from my home.
nothing caught on my first day - second day- one small catfish (thrown back) and small large mouth bass- thrown back as well. Others caught- keeper size catfish- large carp (fun to catch but were thrown back) and some large mouth bass (not keepers). All and all I highly recommend this spot- I will be spending a lot of time here.-

Sunday May 4th 2014- first catch of my season- small catfish that I put back-
very enjoyable day as I live only 2.5 miles from the site
Also caught one small ...more large mouth bass which went back to grow up.
Others on the dock caught- several keepers of catfish- one very large carp and another bass that was to small to keep.

very nice place to fish- easy access and 3 covered areas to protect from the ...more sun- toilet facility- and shaded picnicking areas with tables.
easy drive off of the main road and well marked- short drive down well maintained gravel road.
