    So last year I was home (mankato, MN) on leave after being active duty for a couple years and coming off an 8 month deployment. And the first thing I wanted to do ...more when I got home was buy a boat. So I did. It's nothing fancy but she floats. I had 10 days home and the only thing I wanted to do was fish! Well as soon as I got the boat it rained and stormed for like 4 days straight and fishing was terrible. Finally on one of my last days home it was beautiful! So I took her out to duck lake to fish Lilly pads and BAM! Pulled out a few big bass and this 6 pounder! Amazing time home!

    Big sunnies in 3-4 ft of water on shoreline with all of the campers. Bass in reeds and weed lines by the narrows northerns on all weed lines feeding on pan fish.

    Bass and northern in reeds especially on grassy island with frog. Also the reeds in bakers bay really shallow.
