2nd place in club tourney Sunday 9/13 on Harris chain.
12.89 lbs for best 5 from a dozen caught. Super shallow worming.
Bass prespawn on Lake Seminole (GA). Placed 6 th out of 110 in tourney there 2/14/15. Humminbird and Costa helped see what was down there, but found on 5-7 ft ...more contours in submerged grass. Jig and trap to find green grass and you got good spot. Water sitting in low 50 's.
I hold rod high and slightly to the right while reeling the frog (keeping it busting at the surface). When the bite happens, point the rod at the spot where the bite occurred. Make sure you're giving the fish a decent pause to enjoy the frog. I suggest saying something to yourself such as "One, Two, my frog got you" or something...before setting the hook. Ok....you MAY NOT want to say something like that out loud if you're fishing with a buddy...but the point is to wait and I think that allows a decent amount of time. You'll learn as time goes on what amount of delay works best for you.
I'll tell you, there are a lot of good videos on YouTube if you search the subject of frog fishing. Search Kurtis Mays and check out how he delays his punch on setting the hook - he makes it look like child's play.
Hope this helped. Keep after 'em.
