Fished Lake of Oz Gravios mills area 4 May 14 water temp started out at 60 turning to 67 by late afternoon. There was a morning top water bite on spitting image ...more produced some short fish. Crawfish and shad color crankbaits took some short fish as well on chuck rock back in the coves 2-5 ft of water. The bass are up on beds strong. Did not see very many big females and the males were pretty stubborn. The few that we caught were by making very long cast but was hard to do because most of the beds we behind dock with wires running across. Texas rig bush hog produce the most with floating lizard getting a few takers. Caught a lot of little with keepers hard to come by.

Fish wafb tournament 1 may got several fish on orange crawfish color crankbait in back of coves all were small some being very close to keepers. Got one keeper ...more off the rocks on the mile long bridge. Others were catching them on spinnersbaits crankbaits and crawfish imatation plastics. Wining wieght was two fish 4 lbs. Water was cooler with the past rain ranging from 56 -58 degs from long shoal to mile long bridge.

Bass fished 27 APR 14 with a buddy on Lake of Oz , Gravois Mills area. Water temp was ranging from 60 to 62 degs. We caught a few small ones and one keeper ...more on orange crayfish and shad colored crankbaits in the morning. Pee gravel and small chunk rock is where those fish were being caught in the back of coves. Noticed a lot beds with no fish on them but there were a few with fish on them. Caught some small ones and one really nice kicker on the beds using brush hogs and lizards Texas rigged. That afternoon had some thundershowers caught some keepers on the A rig and spinner bait during the rain. overall a very good day. Hopefully it wont be to much longer and they will be strong on the beds but we'll have to wait for the weather this week to pass. Good luck to you all!

Fish out of long shoal marina Caught one bass over 15'' on a purple bandit med diving crank bait bouncing off chunk rock in 4 ft of water secondary point ...more near T6 also missed one on a black blue jig same area. I I also fished spinner baits, Texas rig lizards, A rig with no luck. The one fish was enough to get me second place in the tournament out of 10 ppl just a slow day. water temp was avg. of 54 degs.
