      caught a lot of fish biggest was 4.8 lbs, caught almost all of them on a green pumpkin jig with watermelon red trailer. A couple of them on a chatter bait.

    We caught a lot of fish today no big ones. caught them on redeye shad, brush hogs, spinner baits. My son caught a little bit of everything today on a redeye large ...more blue cat, white bass, crappie. and of course bass.

    Details: 2 lb. 16 in. Largemouth Bass with a weightless watermelon fluke

    caught all my fish on a watermelon fluke rig weightless. pitched in the brush with a watermelon red and black & blue crawl/creature baits and nothing tried spinnerbaits ...more swimming jigs bladed & unbladed I don't know where the better fish were today fish listed is the biggest one caught today. I caught 8 keepers total just all 14-16.5”. also fished a Texas rigged worm inside and outside the hay grass nothing. also tried a senko no baits you would think if they would eat a weightless fluke they would eat a senko???????????

    flipping & pitching in buck brush, spent most of my time fighting the wind. caught 15 fish total six keepers the rest were dinks. The 2 largest keepers were ...more 3.5 oz in 3 lb.

      My son and his partner fished the tourney 2 weekends ago and that wind was brutal on them. On the water late and fishing through for as long as possible. It was ...more cold and windy. They stayed in coves as much as possible.

      It is a chore to battle the wind, I definitely can relate to the fair weather part. I dont mind fighting the wind but those calm cloudy days are awesome.

      the only good thing I can say about the wind is I'm fishing a lot of spots I've never fished before or hadn't fish in years. The older I get the more ...more of a fair weather fishermen I became.

    only found four Keepers today lots of small buck Bass. mainly casting a weightless fluke into the hay grass or the buck brush. fished out to 15 feet even then I'm ...more still all small fish

      Keepers this weekend came off buck brush with a slowly soaked brush hog or beaver, white spinnerbaits (slow rolled), and a frog. Back at work...wish I was still ...more at Rayburn. Good Luck.

    Details: 3 lb. 20 in. Largemouth Bass with a watermelon red creature/craw

    caught 10-15 fish lots of small fish. didn't start catching keeper fish until water and air temp went up a bit around 11am.

      there is a little strating to come up, have not been looking for it as most of the fish I have been catching have been from outside hay grass line in to the bank. ...more Say from 8-9' to 1-2'. seems to be a little tempature dependent, the colder it is outside the deeper the fish are.

    ripping red eye shad through the grass, only caught 2 keepers today. caught 8 dinks not sure where the good fish were. The other keeper was on top water.

I live next to lake Sam Rayburn so when I am not at work I am on the lake as long as the weather is not to bad the older I get the more I am ...more a fair weather fishermen. Fish to relax these days. Also go down to Sabine Lake and do a little inshore fishing.
