1. We still have ice on the lake, but it is moving around. I'm hoping by next week we will be fishing open water. Not much fishing has been going on lately and ...more the anglers that are getting out havent seen anything special. Think Spring....Good Luck!!!

  2. Not too much happening right now. We are in an in-between time as there is still ice covering the lake, but it’s getting sketchy is spots. Some anglers are venturing ...more out and doing pretty well. Most have giving up on ice fishing and are getting their boats ready for open water. We are hoping that in a couple of weeks the ice will be gone and we can get our boats in. Stop in and start stocking up on supplies for open water. We are fully stocked up. Good Luck!!!

  3. Well mother nature hit us again. 15" of snow fell in this last storm system that came through. This has caused some problems getting on the lake, so take caution. ...more there is still a lot of ice out there and the fish are biting. You will have to work for them though. Being mobile is the key. drill lots of holes and jumping around seems to be more productive then just sitting there waiting for them to come to you. depending on where are you on the lake, we have seen fish come from 12 feet of water around the pelican lake area all the way down to 55 feet on the east side . Fishing is good so stop on by. Good Luck!!!

  4. Another cold snap has dropped in this week making the fishing a little harder. Of course being in a shack or a pop-up can still be cozy. Fishing has been steady ...more with anglers catching a lot of walleyes and perch. Walleye anglers are targeting 20 feet of water, dropping down buckshot spoons or jigging raps tipped with a minnow head. Perch are a little deeper at 30-45 feet of water. Some areas to focus on would be Black Tiger Bay, the north end of 6-mile and towers out in front of the casino. Be careful and good luck!!

  5. Ice is looking good at 8" to 10" depending on where you are on the lake. the fishermen have been slim lately with the extreme cold that we have had, but ...more they are starting to come out of hiding. We havent had a lot of reports coming in due to the cold but the anglers that are out are finding fish. structured areas in 10-20 feet have been the ticket this last week. buckshot spoons and fatheads are hot baits and should be until end of season. Like i said, anglers are going to hit the lake hard the next couple of days so i should have a good report in the next week or so. Good Luck!!!

  6. Water temps have dropped to the high 40’s and should continue to drop this whole next week. Fishing has been pretty good and picking up. Find current and you will ...more find fish. Most of the action has been around the bridges. Anglers are catching pretty much everything around the pilings. Some are trolling and picking up some nice sized walleyes as well. Good Luck!!!

  7. Fishing has been great the last couple of weeks. Anglers are catching fish almost everywhere on the lake. Right now we are finding walleyes 10-30 feet of water. ...more I know it’s a wide range to depths, but they are holding all over the place. Structure fishing has provided the best fishing. Main lake rock bars, old road beds, structure is key. Jigging and dragging bottom bouncers has been the presentation to beat lately. Shallow weeds are starting to die off, and the crank bait bite should pick up in the shallows as colder weather rolls in. Anglers can cast cranks in the shallows or troll them near shallows weeds. In the evenings concentrated on the bridges and you should be able to find some active fish. Good Luck!!!

  8. Pelican has been the place to be this last week. The fishing has been good but you have to be able to find them. Most of the action has been trolling, and most ...more of the bigger fish have fallen to this tactic. Main lake structure and points are holding fish, and if you can’t find fish in one spot, move on. Being mobile this time of year is key. It still seems like the early and late bite has been more productive then mid day. We should see a nice week ahead of us and it really should get these fish active. Good Luck!!!

  9. Weather is a little cooler than a week ago. Feels more like octorber then august. The weather however didn’t slow the walleyes down any. If anything it made them ...more more aggressive. We were finding fish around structure in 20-30 feet of water. Rocks mostly, but weeds, bridge pilings and timber all were holding fish. After fishing the a local tournament this last weekend, the walleyes were hitting almost anything anglers threw at them. Tolling crankbaits has been good, bottom bouncing with crawler harnesses has been good, jigging or slip bobber with a leech or nightcrawlers has been good. Like I said just about anything is working. By the evening we have anglers around the bridge pilings, either in a boat or off of shore, and they are doing pretty good between 7pm and dark. Now is a great time to get out and fish. Stop in and get everything that you need and more. Good Luck!!!

  10. It was nice to see all the anglers that walked thru the door this last weekend. They weren’t disappointed with the weather or the fishing. We had some nice weather ...more all the way up to Sunday when we got some rain, but for the most part the 4th of july weekend was beautiful. Fishing wise, anglers should locate weed edges in the 8-15 foot range for just about anything right now. Spinners or cranks trolled on the edges has been the hot bite lately. If your having trouble with the weed edges you can move to deeper structure and try jigging or slip bobbers. Pelican Lake and Penny Bay have been hot spots, but then again they are hot spots almost all year. We are definitely in our summer patterns and fishing is going to take some work. Water temps are around 76°. Good Luck!!!
