Guys First Tournament on Lake Lillinonah Saturday 4/18- great Weather78 degree water temp, water temp was 51-53 degrees. Bite was real slow. Fish are at least ...more a week behind moving up in predawn. Only 8 fish caught none over 1.97 lbs. Needless to say we threw the kitchen sink at them. No patterns to mention. Jerk bait wasn't on fire like we expected. Most caught on her bait and drop shot/4 inch senko.
Usually the jerk baits are hot this time of year! I'm going back Wednesday for a mid week tournament and will have more but I expect the conditions to ...more be more favorable. This lake holds the Ct record for Pike. Also some nice smallmouth and largemouth. You can fish the 3 bays if they move in or the deeper drop offs next to shallow waters 8- 15 ft.
