1. Sounds like an exciting year ahead. We were at Chickamauga last week on our way back from Christmas in the Smokies. I would wish you good luck but I know luck doesn't ...more win tournaments, hard work and fishing knowledge along with confidence, believing you can win, that wins tournaments. So work hard, study the lakes and tournament history, then believe in your skills. I believe it's ok to be A little bit cocky, I've have met many of the top anglers in the Elite series and they all are believers in their own skills, and think they can win every time they go out.

I would also try chunk rock points near deep water at the mouth of large bays. As for the A-Rig I have found mixed results, most everyone throws it some, and most ...more people catch some fish with it, but not the magic bullit it's hyped up to be, that being said I will always have one tied on.

Hey Shannon-- Red craw is a great color this time of year here on Ky.Lake. I fell like the warmer weather we are having may move some fish up to spawn staging spots, ...more but the temps have been so mixed up who knows.

  2. Nick, I live close to Ky Lake and am probably spoiled, big fish and big sacks. Pickwick is about the same way both lakes seem to get better even with lots of big ...more tournaments. A friend of mine cought one about seven on new years day, he sent the picture to my son-in-law and it fired me up for the new season.

Yea, I am really looking forward to the new season. We qualified for the FLW National Championship in South Carolina and we are also going to a lot of great lakes ...more in 2014. We also get to go to Chickamauga, Pickwick, Table Rock, Mississippi River, and KY Lake for college tourneys. Should be a good year. I can't wait for the college season to start.
  3. HEY NICK ROBERT JOURDEN HERE, ALWAYS GLAD TO CONNECT WITH OTHER BASS FISHERMEN. I WISH THERE HAD BEEN COLLEGIATE KEEPS FISHING WHEN I WAS IN SCHOOL. KEEP UP THE ...more GOOD WORK, AN EDUCATION AND FISHING YOU CAN'T LOSE.

Hey Robert, college fishing is awesome. After two years we have fished a bunch of different lakes around the country. Only bad thing is that it spools me. Because ...more after going to lakes like Pickwick lake or catching smallies on the Detroit river. I get to come back to indiana fishing. I do manage to fish ky lake several times a year though which is a good break from the fishing in indiana.

About

I am 61 years old, I live close to Ky. Lake and am retired. I fish mostly for bass and some crappie. I do fish some local tournaments and am ...more learning just how good some of the fishermen around here are. My wife has learned that "if you give A man a fish you feed him for A day, If you teach A man to fish you get rid of him every weekend". (works out ok for me)
