1. Just returned from Kabe Saturday 5/30.. Best trip in 15 years up here. The word for the trip PATIENCE. It seems that wherever we fished we eventually caught both ...more SLOT (18"-26" many) and keepers saugers. walleyes and northerns. We caught them in rain, cold fronts, sunny and windy. Sometimes it took and hour before a bite but almost everytime we caught 5 to 10 fishes. We did most of our fishing on the West end of the lake, never went east of Harris Good luck guys have fun

Jason thanks for the update,,,, Next year I'll be more precise as far as conditions ect.. This is my first time using this app. A bad day fishing is still better ...more than a day of work.. We are planning (hopefully) to come up in September. My fishing buddy and I have annual licenses, so its about time we utilize it. Hope you have a fantastic finish to your trip. Try around "Flower Pot"

We've been up here since May 30. On our arrival day we were getting a lot of walleye in the 18-25' range keepers and slots. Sunday - Wednesday were slow ...more going with a few here and there. At the docks nobody was bring in any quantities of walleye. Smallie but has been solid with a lot of 22-24" northern. Most of our keeper walleye have been caught by Cutover Island. Worked bittersweet a few days with some nice sized walleye but no keepers(20-26") perch have been scattered with the few we were going to keep being loaded with parasites, very early in the year for the fish to be so infested. Jigs on the bottom tipped with rainbows or chubs is what was getting it done. Lindy rigs were so so with minnows and nothing with crawlers or leeches. All of the smallies and most northern were on #3 gold and silver Mepps. They are a nice change of pace when the walleye bite is as slow as its been. John good luck this up coming week, hope you kill it up here. Robert I think you guessed the right week to be here. Our resort guests that were up last week too, said they were hitting them a lot better than this week. All in all, this lake is the best!

They were hitting hard off the north shore near school teacher island. All the big ones we hard were caught on #3 gold Mepps. The entrance of lost lake on the east ...more end was pretty good for smallies too.

I wish I were there NOW, Bittersweet was our go to place. The good thing about Kabe is that the weather dictates where to fish. We stayed at Kecs Kove , which is ...more there south of Bittersweet , so every day we always start and end at Bittersweet, and we did catch quite a few Northers in addition to walleye and saugers

Thanks for the tip. It's been rough up here this week. Most of the boats coming in are only hitting a few fish all day. The first night we had 11 walleye in ...more 2 hours all in the 18-25 ft range with 4 being keepers. Tried Bittersweet Monday and all we got was pike.
