I believe it's called cave creek. I should have know the wind would be bad. Shanty lake sits low with hills to block the wind. I caught a mess of blue Gil's ...more last year.

Any body kayak fished shanty hollow lake

yes the wind was horrible today and its always hard to fish the wind. where did you end up going today? I work all weekend but im going to try and get the kayak ...more out on barren monday and tuesday. Do you ever fish any kayak tournaments?
    7. Richard Merriss 0
Went kayaking today, can't say I was fishing because the wind was to fast. But being on the water is always fun. I think I'm going to Nolan lake next. I ...more went last year and had luck in the back waters.

if its nice out tomorrow there will most likely be a lot of bank fishermen at the tailwater area. If your looking for crappie a good spot to fish on the lake is ...more coon creek. they were killing them in there two weeks ago when i was there.

Thanks, looking at the map I'm putting in at the first landing and take it from there. Looking for crappie.
    10. justin templin 0
well just past the damn and to the right can be two different spots depending on which direction your going. lol You have the tail waters on the bottom side of ...more the damn which is good for catfich, white bass, hybrid bass, crappie, carp and gar. If you put in at the tail water and float further down barren river there is a lot better fishing for small mouth, large mouth and musky but its an all day float if you put in right at the tailwaters. There are a few other access points towards bowling green. If your going to fish on the actual lake side of the damn then there are thousands of spots. :) if your wanting to put in by the damn you could do port oliver or the quarry rd rec. area. beaver creek is my favorite area to fish but its pretty muddy right now from all the rain. What are you fishing for?
    11. Richard Merriss 0
      Sorry barren river lake

Don't know, the only place I know is just passed the damn and to the right. I just move down last November,
