The white run is ON!!! Got out on the water with my brother @Dunbar looking to slime up his new boat, an we certainly did! Took us a while and a couple miles of ...more searching but we finally found em STACKED between some sandbars. Blue skies, breeze out of the north, 65°F, water 61°, slow flow. Casting along the shore line and just retrieving steadily. Caught about 75 each, an brought home 40! Lovin it

Anyone know if the white bass are still biting in the Nueces? May try to go again this weekend, but not to sure due to the weather changes we have been having.
    2. David Armstrong 0
Got a late start on Saturday due to my son being sick. Managed to fish for a couple of hours and caught 7 white bass. We did not go all the way up to the rapids, ...more but were close. Planning on going again early next Saturday. Thanks for the info my friend.
    3. Chris Skinner 0
@David Armstrong, it's a double jig rig originally made for catching speckled trout, kinda difficult to explain, if you do a Google search, you'll see what ...more I mean
    4. David Armstrong 0
      What is a spec rig?
    5. David Armstrong 0
Thanks for the info Chris. Hope to make ya proud this weekend. Will post the details.
    6. Chris Skinner 0
@David Armstrong certainly! Do a Google maps search for Live Oak County Airport, there is a small boat ramp right next to it, you can launch from there. We usually ...more go about 3 miles up stream to an area with some rapids. Roadrunner jigs, crappie jigs, 1/8oz rattle traps, and spec rigs all work well, and live minnows of course. Good luck!

That is awesome! Wanting to take my 8 yr old this coming weekend. I am new to the area. I live in San Antonio. Where are y'all launching from? I have an ...more old bass tracker so we should be able to go pretty shallow. Can y'all lead me to the promise land, or the honey hole. Thanks, I appreciate the help. My son will be stoked if we can slay them like y'all. What are y'all using for lures?
    8. Chris Skinner 0
@keepindaheadup you could, but it'd be difficult. We had to go about 3 miles up River to find the fish. The river is surrounded by private property, so you'd ...more have to fish by the ramp
    9. keepindaheadup 0
I'm new to the area can you bank fish this river with results?
