  7. Nice brook slammed a shad colored daredevil spoon. I tell ya these brook trout fight harder than bows and browns.

Brook Trout with a Eppinger Dardevle Spoons

  8. I was just getting my line wet to fish for trout. Got about three cast in and thought my crank got snagged till the line started to move. Was thinking maybe a catfish ...more or a sturgeon. I was in my yak and this thing drags me around the river for a good 30 minutes. Was using a ultralight with 4lb test. Glad I got good gear and fresh line this thing was huge. I guess at least 15lbs. Couldn't even get the whole fish in the pic. Heck of a fight and this would be my biggest fish caught so far this year.

  9. The last few times I've been fishing the Caney I have caught almost exclusively brook trout. Last year I think I caught maybe one or two but now it seems the ...more Caney is chocked full of them. I love it, brookies are fierce fighters.
