    2017 Silver Lake Day Use Closures

    Silver Lake's Sandy Cove Day Use Area will close on October 2nd, weather ...more permitting. The Boat Launch and Day Use Area will remain open until October 20th, weather permitting. If the weather forecast calls for snow these dates may need to be earlier.

    Construction at Silver Lake and Caples Lake

    EID construction crews are installing two ...more new ADA-compliant restrooms and completing some pavement restoration at the Silver Lake West campground in the coming weeks. In addition, spur (campsite parking) improvements and speed bump installations are taking place. A new ADA-compliant restroom is also being installed at Silver Lake’s Ferguson Point day-use area.

    At Caples Lake, crews will also install a new ADA-compliant restroom at the Woods Creek day-use site as well as some paving at Caples Lake auxiliary parking.

    Construction will last approximately three weeks.

    Wanted to test new float tube as I have never used one. Am a firm believer in them now. 2nd cast got a hit and 3rd cast landed one.
