    Great day at New Malones. Water temp- lower 60s. This guy was one of several today. The bite was on once the breeze picked up.

    My boat partner caught this 5.4lbs Largemouth first thing out of the gate. He used a top water popper. The big guy dove down and wrapped himself around a tree branch. ...more It was a team effort to get him out but finally did! The rest of the day was tough...but that was alright after this catch.

    prespawn tournament at the lake, biggest fish we got was 4lbs 2oz. Winning bag was 20lbs with a ten pound kicker. :/

      I hear ya bud and I've seen some of those Cali monsters. I see a lot of em caught on swim baits that resemble trout. Wonder if they would work here in Texas. ...more Guess they're worth a shot.

      Yea there is 5 more tournaments so we have plenty of opportunities to catch back up. just need those monsters. Lol

      That sounds like a pretty popular tournament with that many teams out there. First of many for the year? And that's the way fishing goes sometimes. I'm sure ...more you'll be all over them fish next tourney.

      well we had around 10 lbs. Barely made top 50 out of 80. Bad day for us 15 fish but no size, I think we went too far up the creek they aren't shallow enough ...more yet.
