  4. Details: Largemouth Bass

Spent some time out at Bell Creek this morning trying different baits. I had mild success but caught the largest fish on a Rapala suspending jerkbait. Once again ...more I was casting towards shaded areas. This time I made my cast and gave a couple of jerks, paused, jerk jerk and on the second pause he hit. Great way to start the morning !

  5. Details: Black Crappie

I'm down in Salisbury and I gave Bell Creek, in the Pemberton Historical Park, a try. I was casting from shore to a pocket about 4 ft deep or so with success ...more of a couple smaller ones. One cast, as I reeled in, felt a little heavy so I gave it a nice tug which set the hook. He was only about 8 ft from shore so there wasn't much of a fight. I didn't have my measuring tape so I placed him on a box.

  6. Details: Bluegill Sunfish with a Creme tube lure on a 1/32 oz jig

I had the opportunity to head to Salisbury this afternoon and catch a few fish. I would cast the jig out and begin to reel it in slowly. I had some nice hits and ...more one chain pickerel was following very nicely. I caught this one and another just as big as I was trying to get the pickerel to bite. Temps in the low 60's, no breeze, visibility was about 1 ft.

  7. Details: Chain Pickerel with a 1/16 oz jig with variety of soft plastics

Here's another trifecta from the Salisbury area, specifically from the creek that runs through the Pemberton Historical Park. I'd make my cast along the ...more shoreline and twitch a couple times, let it sit, reel in the slack and repeat. I caught just about a dozen in total of all three species, 5 crappie, 5 'gills and 3 chain pickerel.

  8. Details: Chain Pickerel with a 1/16 oz jig with variety of soft plastics, Powerbait 1" nymphs & Panfish Assassins Chartreuse shad

Here's a trifecta of chain pickerels that I was able to land today. I came down to Salisbury to visit my mom and stopped at one of my favorite spots. I would ...more make my cast along the shoreline and reel in the slack. I'd make a couple of twitches and a panfish would hit. Make the same cast a few minutes later and these guys came out of their hiding place and hit hard.

  9. Details: Chain Pickerel with a 1 1/2 in lemon yellow curly tail grub on a 1/16 oz jig

I headed over to Pemberton Historic Park outside of Salisbury this morning. I had had luck earlier in the week with some crappie and bluegills, so I headed to the ...more upper reaches of the creek. After catching a couple I changed color of grub. I made a cast up stream and reeled it tight. At the point the float went down so I gave a good tug to set the hook. I ended up reeling in this guy.

  10. Details: Black Crappie with a 1/16 oz jig with a speckled green inch a quarter grub.

I had some time this afternoon while in the Salisbury area and I headed over to Pemberton Historical Park. I headed up stream from the pond. I made my cast into ...more the shaded areas with the jig suspended about 18 in below a float. A couple of twitches and the float would start to move one way or the other and I'd set the hook. I reeled in just about even numbers of both.

All were released since they were mostly on the small size.
