Pine River Fishing Reports

Recently shared catches and fishing spots

  1. Details: Northern Pike

Went out for a quick AM sesh on the Pine west of Alma. Lots of these pike between 18-25", lots of fun. They were ambushing the spoon along weedlines and lily ...more pads in 2-5fow. Good fun, had two really small largemouths as well, pretty River, good day!

  4. Details: Northern Pike with a johnsons silver minnow, 1/4oz, silver; 7' St Croix tourn. legend; shimano sahara w/10lb power pro, 30lb mono leader. Wilderness commander ...more 140.

I had the most success w/the weedless spoon, the pine is full of beautiful weed beds. Casting up current and retrieving right into and through the weeds produced ...more solid action all day. Awesome day!

  5. Details: Northern Pike with a 5" senko, cinnamon w/black purple flake, 1/8oz lucky strike weedless swimbait hook. 7' St Croix tourn. legend, shimano sahara w/10lb ...more power pro, 30lb leader. wilderness commander 140

Casting cross current(very slow flow) through weed clumps I had good luck with the bigger pike, one right at 30" and this one just shy of 29" I did not ...more expect the pike to hammer the senko this much.

  6. Details: Largemouth Bass with a johnsons silver minnow, 1/4oz, 7' St Croix tourn. legend, shimano sahara 10lb power pro, 20lb flouro leader, wilderness commander 140

Caught several of these guys casting up current and retrieving through the milfoil/pondweed clumps. The bass were all somewhat small but very chunky.

  7. Details: Smallmouth Bass with a mister twister, black, 1/16oz jighead, 6'6" redbone, shimano sonora w/10lb power pro moss w/8lb mono leader

  8. Details: Smallmouth Bass with a mister twister, black, 1/16oz jighead, 6'6" redbone ML, shimano sonora w/10lb power pro moss 8lb mono leader

Tried 4 different sized rapalas/rebel minnows on this guy with only one half-hearted look. Then I noticed him picking at the rocks on the bottom, he pounced on a ...more slow bottom bumping retrieve. 2fow.
