  8. It was mid June 2014 about noon I was fishing on my lunch hour at Hill Creek Lake near Wellsboro, Pa. I was using a tube bait wth a 1.4 oz weight looking for a bass ...more to hit it in a cove near the boat launch. I made about 7 or 8 casts slowly retrieving and then quickly retrieving. My gear was an Okuma real light duty and a medium duty shakesphere rod with 4 lb test line. So on the 9th cast I threw it out and let if fall to the bottom and set for a bit then I began to reel it in at fist slowly then speeding it up a bit when all of a sudden I got a hit. Immediately my pole bent almost in half and my reel started to make that familiar sound when the drag is working. I thought OH BIY! I have a big bass on. The fish starte to take it out deep and I opened up the bail and let it run. when it stopped, I began to work the fish reeling in and then letting the fish take it. After a while the fish came toward the shore and took the line into the reeds. I thought oh no I've lost him. He must have started to tire out as I was working him and he then let me drag him up to the shore and to my surprise I saw a huge black thing. I knew right away it was not a bass. I thought What is this. Then as I got him on shore, I saw that it was huge Catfish. He was 29.5 inches long and weighed 11lb7oz. This by far was the biggest Catfish I had ever caught. I s till can not believe that I got him on 4 pound test line.
