Abiquiu Reservoir is located in Rio Arriba County, in northern New Mexico in the southwestern United States. Water of the Rio Chama is impounded by the earth-filled Abiquiu Dam, 1,800 feet long and 340 feet high, completed in 1963 and raised in 1986.

    Wouldn't know if there's any fish in the lake yet- today is filled with irresponsible boaters without regard to kids on swimming rafts in the swimming areas, ...more kayaks, canoes, or rafts as they recklessly perform racing maneuvers, water donuts and play chicken with people on rafts. Almost capsized three times so we pulled it in and left the main area. I'm pretty sure the aquatic life had the same idea. Don't think I'll waste my time here again.

      If you want to fish that lake try a weekday . there s good fishing there if you can time it right Not the weekend ,some early morn B4 the crazy get up !
