Lake Walcott is a reservoir in south central Idaho in the northwestern United States, impounded by Minidoka Dam. The damming of the Snake River by the Minidoka Project formed the 11,000 acre lake beginning in 1909. "Bird Island" is an island in the lake.

Came out here to try again this year. Wife Caught a 6" trout didn't keep but should have. Will be back again before reservoir is full can get right out ...more in the deeper sand bars. Decided to use shrimp. Lots of bites but only one catch. Should have took a picture.
