Because Walleye are so popular here, the muskie don't get much attention. Largemouth, perch, Crappie and Lake Sturgeon available.

It looked about 50% covered with ice on Sunday, so I'd be surprised if it was fully frozen with the warm week. I'd say far from safe.

  4. Making my yearly week long fishing trip to Yellow Lake next week. How has the fishing been lately for bass, northern and muskie? Is the lake currently high with ...more all the rain in the past couple weeks? Had a lot of success there in the fall but how is it going to fish with the higher temps next week?

    1. John Kriz 0

I found that the tried and true pink, or white colors and fat heads have worked the best for me on walleye and the crappie we caught some giant crappie early morning ...more hrs and I mean 14" and up to 16" there. Many days can be tough though on that lake no real structure just a giant bowl for the fish to roam
    12. Matt Ress 0
      I'm trying brother
    13. Jeremy Anderson 0
Tons and tons and tons of that size walleye in there gotta fish the break to the w there's very quality crappies in there that's for sure and who doesn't ...more like the chance at a giant sturgeon!!!

  6. Fishing on Yellow Lake from the 9th-16th. I have been on the lake before but only for a day each time with little success. Looking to fish everything from pan ...more fish, bass, walleye, pike and muskie. Any tips of tackle, times and locations would be helpful. With an entire week I'm hoping to give a lot of feedback to everyone else. Thanks!

Anyone been having success lately? Fishing Sept. 15-18.
    2. Tadd Schutte 0
Considering the weather we had at the time we did very well. It rained over 5 inches the first three days and 20 mph winds the next two days which limited the sides ...more of the lake to fish. We caught several 18-20 inch bass on black spinner and white swimjig in 3-8ft water. Caught a lot of northern with a few over 32in. 5 musky caught on the week with the longest being 34 in. We are planning a return trip in September.

Was out there Friday before the 4th. Very slow fishing for walleyes. But saw lots of muskys surfacing. Wish I would have brought my Muskie rod with...
