1. What would u recommend? Lever drag or star drag? I'm considering penn squalls, anyone ever use this reel?

      @bassinboy01 yeah thx man! I'm definitely getting lever drag. And the $$ on squall is quiet affordable for me. I think it should be good for a newbies like me.

      If you're willing to pay for it, get an Avet MXL MC and you definitely won't be disappointed 😝

      But like @Texas_Slam was saying, lever drags are pretty nice because you never have to guess what kind of drag settings you're dealing with during the fight, ...more like you do with star drags.

      I've never used a Squall, but really like my Abu Garcia 7000iC3. I have 20lb mono on it, but I'm gonna step up to 25. Great casting reel and is pretty smooth ...more too.

      30 or 40 trilene big game is perfect for casting and is pretty cheap. But I use 40 lb ande mono or diamond moimoi. Kinda expensive but as long as you keep your line ...more fresh (with no frays) your good.

      Kinda hard to decide when see the bigger reel has the same price with the smaller reel. Lol
